Man oh man am I on a roll. Two posts in as many days! I set the alarm for 7:15 this morning with the intention of making an early morning kickboxing class, but sometime in the night I realized what a ridiculous idea that actually was and turned it off. Now of course I feel like a complete loser for sleeping till nine thirtyish... I thought perhaps I could redeem myself with a dutiful post. It might not burn calories but its good for the soul. ♥
I have, like most crafters, have a beloved scissor collection. More of a family of helpful little scissors really. And like most families, there are favorites (gasp! Oh you know its true). My favorite pair for the last few years, a lovely seafoam green pair with a soft silicone grip, recently met its maker when I tried, rather unsuccessfully, to cut through a circuit board. Those things are made from some sort of alien plastic that NOTHING will cut through. The pressure snapped the grip of my loyal seafoam scissors right through. I was inconsolable.
Until yesterday. When I found these beauties.
Thats right. Pink. Titanium blades. Comfort grips. Drool, baby, drool.
As if that wasn't enough to make my year, I found an awesome vintage makeup case at our local thrift store that was just begging for a makeover. In my enthusiasm I neglected to snap a before photo but heres the after. Emma helped. Its going in her room to hold hair thingies. Pretty cute, right?
This little paint project got me wanting to work on a real project. So I started a canvas that kept me up most of the night. I'm still waiting for the inspiration to finish it but I thought I would share a small peek.
I hope everyone has a wonderful, inspiration filled weekend!
Cheers!
